2. Stemming and Lemmatization

These techniques reduce words to their root form.

Example:

  • Running

This helps computers understand that these words have similar meanings.

3. Part-of-Speech (POS) Tagging

POS tagging identifies whether a word is a noun, verb, adjective, etc.

Example:

Sentence:

“Birds fly high.”
  • Birds → Noun
  • Fly → Verb
  • High → Adjective

4. Named Entity Recognition (NER)

NER identifies names of people, places, organizations, dates, and more.

Example:

Sentence:

“Elon Musk founded SpaceX in 2002.”
  • Elon Musk → Person
  • SpaceX → Organization
  • 2002 → Date

5. Sentiment Analysis

Sentiment analysis helps determine emotions or opinions in text.

6. Machine Translation
